5 WAYS TO START PROFESSIONAL DJ’ING

After taking private music lessons online and mastering the DJing skills, you are all geared up to start your DJing career but confused about how to begin. So given below are some tips utilizing which you can begin your professional DJing.

  1. Determine your goal and target- Make a clear vision of your goals and target. Decide first what type of DJ you want to become, whether you want to be a wedding DJ, birthday parties DJ, Club DJ or other. Then after selecting the type of DJing, make a target and achieve it.

  2. Name and DJ logo- A name is the most important thing when starting a new DJ business. Decide a catchy name. It should be a unique but easy name to pronounce and remember. After coming up with the name, you have to get a logo for your business. The logo gives life to your business. It depicts your personality and insights into your brand.

  3. Create a website- It is fine if you are new to this technology. You can hire a Website designer to create a fantastic website for you. Talk with the designer to finalize the Font, colors, design, etc. Make sure your website has some little things in the beginning because I have seen many creators putting so many things on their website, and it ended up being crashed most of the time. So, don't put everything in the beginning. Decide a platform where you want to launch your website and then launch it on a decided date. You can hire some content writers to write SEO-friendly content for your website. Whenever people search for hiring a DJ service, they will find you in the Google search.

  4. Promote on social media- Social media has become the biggest online platform where you can promote yourself. Here you don't need any Godfather or helping hand. If the audience likes your work, they will give you the love. So, create an official account on social media and post your work there. Give a link to your website in the bio so that every time someone visits your page, they can have a look at your site. To get a high reach on social media, you have to post stories, photos, and IGTV every day.

  5. Find your clients- After achieving the above small goals, you are finally here to run your business. Finding clients may be demanding because people usually hire experienced DJ performer as they don't want to take chances. But that doesn't mean you can't get your first gig. Go on research on social media platforms. They get you clients by sharing your work and charging some money. So it is your choice to take help; otherwise, you can directly reach people. As I said, promote your work on social media and post things daily. Ask your friends and relatives if they have an event, party or wedding where they might need a DJ. Give your best at such parties as people will remember your work and spread it in their circle.
